"Following the evolution of the Common Agricultural Policy and the increasing importance of the rural development pillar within the CAP, the European Commission Directorate-General for Agriculture and Rural Development has published an annual specific report on rural development since 2006. This report aims at providing, on a regular basis, a comprehensive set of information on rural areas and on the implementation of the EU Rural Development Policy."
